Vinh Medical University and Nghe An University of Economics announce admission scores.
(Baonghean.vn) - The entrance exam scores for universities in Vinh City this year are lower than in previous years. This is in line with expectations that the minimum scores for this year's high school graduation exam will be lower than in previous years.
At Nghe An University of Economics, four admission methods are being used this year. Accordingly, all 11 majors, including Information Technology, Accounting, Economics, Digital Economics, etc., use a combined admission method with a score of 14 points and a score of 13 points based on aptitude and thinking skills assessment. However, the number of applications through these methods is not high.
Based on high school academic results, five majors require 16 points for admission: Veterinary Medicine, Finance and Banking, Agriculture, Land Management, and Accounting. Majors such as Information Technology, Economics, and Forestry have admission scores ranging from 16.5 to 23 points. Forestry has the highest score at 23 points.
Based on the high school graduation exam results, the Digital Economics and Forestry majors have the highest admission scores at 20 points. For the remaining majors, the admission scores range from 18 to 19 points.
Vinh Medical University has just announced the results of the first round of regular university admissions for 2023. Accordingly, the admission score based on the results of the National High School Graduation Examination is 24 points for Medicine, 22.5 points for Pharmacy, and 19 points for Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology.
The entrance scores for Medicine and Pharmacy programs are 0.75 to 1 point lower than in the previous academic year.
For these three majors, the admission scores based on academic transcripts are 20.35 points (preventive medicine), 20.60 points (nursing), and 23 points (medical laboratory technology).
According to the plan, the online enrollment period for Vinh Medical University is from August 24th to September 8th.
Candidates can enroll online on September 9th and 10th.

Previously, data compiled from various universities showed a general trend of decreasing cut-off scores for most majors.
The group of majors that saw a consistent increase in admission scores this year is education. Statistics from several universities show that all education-related majors have increased in admission scores. Surprisingly, History education has the highest admission score at many universities.
At Vinh University, the cut-off scores for all majors increased compared to 2022. The most significant increases were in Biology Education (from 19 to 23.55 points), History Education (from 25.75 to 28.12 points), National Defense and Security Education (from 21 to 25.7 points), and Political Education (from 22 to 26.5 points).
