Vinh Medical University: Expanded Science and Technology Conference 2024
On the afternoon of November 9th, Vinh Medical University held its 2024 Expanded Science and Technology Conference.
Attending the conference was Mr. Nguyen Ngo Quang, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health.
Representing Nghe An province were Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.
Special,Resolution No. 39- The Politburo's Resolution No. 18/7/2023 on the construction and development of Nghe An province until 2030 with a vision to 2045 clearly stated that one of the nine important tasks to achieve the goal of making Nghe An the center of the North Central region by 2030 is to focus on developing education and training, science and technology, healthcare, and high-quality human resources. Specifically, it states: "Developing higher education in conjunction with promoting scientific research and innovation; building science and technology research centers in universities to be on par with the region."
Recognizing its mission, Vinh Medical University has identified the importance of scientific research and the scientific and technological tasks that each staff member and lecturer needs to understand in order to gradually improve the quality of training and make a significant contribution to the development of high-quality medical human resources for the country.
In recent years, research activities atVinh Medical UniversityThis has been further promoted in both quantity and depth, with a particular focus on developing scientific research among students and faculty members of the university.
The school has implemented numerous policies and mechanisms to promote scientific research and create favorable conditions for students and young staff to conduct scientific research; many staff, lecturers, and students have won awards and produced high-quality scientific research products.
The Vinh Medical University's organization of the 2024 Expanded Science and Technology Conference aims to create opportunities for staff, lecturers, researchers, scientists nationwide, and medical students to expand their knowledge, update on new research, discoveries, and methods with high scientific value and practical application in their profession.
The topics and techniques evaluated at the conference will serve as a basis for doctors, scientists, and researchers to develop and apply them in practice, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination, treatment, and healthcare for the people.
The conference included six thematic sessions on Internal Medicine - Pediatrics, Surgery - Obstetrics, Oncology, Pharmacy, Public Health, Laboratory Testing, and Nursing. It featured 75 high-quality scientific research papers from medical schools, institutes, academies, and research centers; from doctors, nurses, and medical staff at hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide; and from domestic and international scientists. The papers were evaluated by a scientific council comprised of professors, associate professors, doctors, and leading experts in various health fields.
