Chief of Justice was stabbed in the stomach by his subordinate

The head of the Justice Department of Tra On District (Vinh Long) was suddenly stabbed in the abdomen by his subordinate with a weapon. The victim is currently receiving emergency treatment at a hospital in Can Tho City.

At around 8:00 a.m. on March 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Doi - Head of the Justice Department of Tra On district was stabbed in the abdomen by his subordinate, Mr. Truong Van Ai (civil servant).

The authorities successfully controlled the subject.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Ai returned to his house (Thong Che Dieu Bat Street, Tra On Town, Tra On District), using weapons such as scissors, knives, and iron rods to barricade himself inside, refusing to see anyone.

Immediately after receiving the information, Tra On District Police and Vinh Long Provincial Police mobilized forces to Mr. Ai's house to persuade him to surrender but were unsuccessful.

By professional measures, at 11:45 a.m. the same day, the authorities controlled the subject Ai and brought him to Tra On District Police for handling according to regulations.

Mr. Doi is currently being taken to a hospital in Can Tho City for emergency treatment. The cause of the incident is still being investigated by authorities.

According to locals, Ai is mentally unstable. His son jumped off Can Tho bridge and committed suicide 2 years ago.
