The head of the Justice Department was stabbed in the stomach by a subordinate.

The head of the Justice Department of Tra On district (Vinh Long province) was unexpectedly stabbed in the abdomen by a subordinate. The victim is currently receiving emergency treatment at a hospital in Can Tho city.

At approximately 8:00 AM on March 10th, Mr. Nguyen Van Doi, Head of the Justice Department of Tra On District, was stabbed in the abdomen with a weapon by his subordinate, Mr. Truong Van Ai (a civil servant).

Authorities successfully apprehended the suspect.

Shortly afterwards, Mr. Ai returned to his home (Thong Che Dieu Bat Street, Tra On town, Tra On district), barricaded himself inside with weapons such as scissors, knives, and iron rods, and refused to see anyone.

Immediately after receiving the information, the police of Tra On district and Vinh Long province mobilized forces to go to Mr. Ai's house to persuade him to surrender, but without success.

Through professional investigative measures, at 11:45 AM on the same day, the authorities apprehended the suspect Ai and escorted him to the Tra On District Police Station for processing according to regulations.

Mr. Doi is currently receiving emergency treatment at a hospital in Can Tho City. The cause of the incident is still being investigated by the authorities.

According to local residents, Ai has an unstable mental state. His child committed suicide by jumping off the Can Tho bridge two years ago.
