Arresting the daring subject who used a hammer to smash a glass cabinet and steal gold
Taking advantage of the gold shop owner's inattention, who was facing inside, a subject holding a hammer ran in, smashed the glass cabinet in the counter, grabbed many necklaces and ran away.
On June 30, Colonel Nguyen Van Bon, Chief of Buon Ma Thuot City Police, Dak Lak Province, said that the police are urgently verifying and arresting the robber at the gold shop.
At around 9:00 p.m. on June 29, taking advantage of the fact that the owner of the gold shop at 25 Ly Tu Trong Street (Tan An Market area, Buon Ma Thuot City) was distracted and facing inward, a subject holding a hammer ran in, smashed the glass cabinet in the counter, grabbed many necklaces, and ran away.
"Immediately after receiving the report, the police were present to examine the scene, organize verification and arrest the subject" - Colonel Bon added.

When he got to the gold cabinet, the subject used a hammer to hit the glass cabinet and quickly reached in to grab the gold and ran away. The entire act of using the hammer to hit and take the gold only took about 5 seconds.
Discovering the incident, the gold shop owner ran out to shout for help, but the gold robber quickly escaped.
