Authorities are searching for the audacious suspect who used a hammer to smash a display case and steal gold.
Taking advantage of the gold shop owner's inattention, who was facing inwards, a suspect grabbed a hammer, smashed the glass display case, snatched several necklaces, and fled.
On June 30th, Colonel Nguyen Van Bon, Chief of Police of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak province, stated that the police are urgently verifying and pursuing the suspect involved in the robbery at the gold shop.
At approximately 9 PM on June 29th, taking advantage of the owner of a gold shop at 25 Ly Tu Trong Street (Tan An Market area, Buon Ma Thuot City) being distracted and facing inwards, a suspect wielding a hammer ran in, smashed the glass display case, grabbed several necklaces, and fled.
"Immediately after receiving the report, the police arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, verify the facts, and apprehend the suspect," Colonel Bon added.

Upon reaching the display case containing the gold, the suspect struck the glass case forcefully with a hammer, quickly grabbed the gold, and fled. The entire act of smashing the case with a hammer and stealing the gold took only about 5 seconds.
Upon discovering the incident, the owner of the gold shop ran out and shouted for help, but the gold thief quickly escaped.
