A man wielding a knife chased down an alley, attacking three members of a family—one adult and two children. After setting their house on fire, the suspect fled on a motorbike along National Highway 3. The man's body was found hanging later that day in Phu Ninh commune, about 3 kilometers away.

"The three victims were lying motionless in a pool of blood, so people shouted for help and took them to the hospital," a witness said.
Leaders of the Soc Son District People's Committee confirmed that the suspect committed suicide. Of the three victims, one has died.
