A representative of the People's Committee of Nghi Huong Ward, Cua Lo Town confirmed: At around 4:00 p.m. on November 14, 2023, a robbery occurred at the Nghi Huong branch of Agribank in the ward. However, when the subject used a knife to threaten the bank staff, he was discovered and chased by the security force, so the incidentfailed robbery. Currently, the authorities are still searching for the robber.
A 1 minute 5 second video posted on social media is said to be taken from a camera at the bank branch at that time. The video clearly shows a young man wearing a dark red jacket, helmet, and masked face entering the bank.
The subject then entered the back door, holding a sharp knife and controlling a bank employee who was sitting and doing transactions with a customer. The employee escaped the subject's control. At that moment, male employees and security forces rushed in and chased the subject. The subject immediately took the knife and ran out of the bank headquarters.
