Prosecuted 7 traffic inspectors for accepting bribes
Traffic inspectors were prosecuted for accepting bribes in 135 cases, involving 260 people. The amount of bribes received was proven by the investigation agency to be 4 billion VND.
On March 24, the People's Procuracy of Can Tho City announced that it had completed the indictment and transferred the case file to the People's Court of the same level to prosecute 7 defendants who were former Traffic Inspectors of the Department of Transport of Can Tho City.
These people were prosecuted for the crime of accepting bribes, including: Duong Minh Tam (37 years old), former Deputy Chief of Traffic Police; Doan Vu Duy (39 years old), former Team Leader; Vo Hoang Anh (35 years old), former Team Leader; Nguyen Tran Luu (40 years old), former Team Leader; Ly Hoang Minh (32 years old), former Deputy Team Leader; Ho Cong Thien (40 years old), former Traffic Police; Tran Lap Phap (31 years old), former Traffic Police.
Nguyen Van Can (30 years old, residing in Vinh Long) and Tran Tuong An (39 years old, residing in Can Tho) were also prosecuted for the same crime. These are two brokers who received bribes for traffic police.

Doan Vu Duy was accused of receiving bribes of VND2.79 billion from 57 organizations and individuals. Through Can and An or directly, Duy received bribes of VND2.8 billion from 57 organizations and individuals.
Need to use 6 accounts, receive bribes of 2.73 billion VND to help Duy and many other traffic police officers. An used 2 accounts and received cash to help Duy, totaling 349 million VND. Tam received bribes of 411 million VND from 13 organizations and individuals.

Duong Minh Tam was accused of accepting bribes of VND411 million from 13 organizations and individuals.
