Group of young people sentenced for spreading obscene culture
Nguyen Duc Vinh - a severely disabled person is the operator of a pornographic forum, specializing in posting pornographic videos, images, and sex stories to attract many people. Vinh is assisted by a group of young people from many provinces and cities.
On November 1, the People's Court of Nghe An province held the first-instance trial of the case of "Disseminating obscene cultural products". The defendants include: Nguyen Duc Vinh (born in 1975, residing in Vinh City); Truong Gia Huy (born in 1993, residing in Ho Chi Minh City); Pham Van Hieu (born in 1986, residing in Lai Chau Province); Nguyen Binh Duong (born in 1986, residing in Vinh Long Province); Ly Chi Quan (born in 1991, residing in Tien Giang Province); Phan Thanh Tien (born in 1988, residing in Ca Mau Province); Do Xuan Khai (born in 1996, residing in Dak Lak Province); Nguyen Phuc Nghia (born in 2002, residing in Long An Province); Nguyen Thi Huong Quynh (born in 1992) and Nguyen Manh Cuong (born in 1988), both residing in Hai Phong City); Phan Vinh San (born in 1996, residing in Thua Thien Hue).

According to the case file, this line operated under the direction of Nguyen Duc Vinh. Vinh is a social protection subject due to a particularly severe disability in mobility.
Vinh was recruited by the “Old Buddha” - the direct administrator of the website “lauxanh.com” (later renamed “thiendia”, “thiendia2.cc”) - to become an administrator of the website.
This is a depraved forum, divided into 5 categories with suggestive names. Each category is divided into different levels of management. Vinh was assigned to manage (Mod) the “Eat and play in the North” category, participating in censorship and editing posts of members in the category with a salary of 2.5 million VND/month.
After 2 years, Vinh was “promoted” to manage all the Mods below. In addition to the management duties, Vinh was also given the right to recruit and organize activities to expand the forum. The management members will edit and post obscene videos, images, and sex stories on the forum to attract more people.
Operating under Vinh's direction are the following administrators: Huy, Hieu, Duong, Quan, Tien, Khai, Nghia, Quynh, Cuong, San. These people initially joined the forum to view obscene content, then applied themselves or were invited by Vinh to participate in forum administration.
The salaries of these people are paid by the "Old Buddha" via e-wallet based on Nguyen Duc Vinh's evaluation results.
Authorities determined that Vinh had spread 12.9GB of pornographic and sexual content on the forum “Thiendia2.cc” and the Telegram group “Ráp chí phim lầu xanh”, illegally profiting more than 360 million VND.
The remaining Mods, depending on their management level and time of participation, illegally profited from several tens of millions of VND to more than 200 million VND. Two people, Cuong and Nghia, refused to receive remuneration.

At the trial, defendant Vinh stated that he suffered from a rare disease that limited his mobility. He used the more than 360 million VND he illegally earned for medical treatment.
The defendants expressed remorse, honestly confessed their crimes, and hoped to receive leniency from the law.
Considering the case as a whole, the panel sentenced Nguyen Duc Vinh and Truong Gia Huy to 48 months in prison each. The remaining defendants received sentences ranging from 21 months in prison, but with suspended sentences, to 39 months in prison.
