VNA signs new cooperation agreement with Mongolian News Agency
On the morning of August 15, in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Ms. Ganchimeg Badamdorj, General Director of Mongolian News Agency Montsame signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the two agencies to strengthen professional cooperation in the digital age.

According to this Cooperation Agreement, the two companies will maintain the exchange of written information in English and photo information with English captions, increase the exchange of video information, especially documentaries introducing the land and people of Vietnam and Mongolia, and promote investment and business cooperation opportunities in each country.
Regarding other cooperative activities, the leaders of the two agencies pledged to maintain annual exchange of reporters; continue to support each other at regional and international press forums that both sides attend, especially within the framework of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).
Speaking at the meeting, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi said that the two agencies have implemented the cooperation agreement under the 2001 Protocol on Professional Cooperation relatively fully, but it is still not commensurate with the cooperation potential of the two sides; he hoped that the two sides would further strengthen cooperation in the coming time.
VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi announced the event of APEC Vietnam Year 2017 and affirmed that as the host news agency of this event, VNA is ready to provide information about this event to Montsame and hopes that Montsame will increase promotion of this event on its media channels.
Congratulating the achievements of VNA in recent times, Montsame General Director Ganchimeg Badamdorj, who visited and worked in Vietnam from August 13-18 at the invitation of VNA General Director, expressed her desire to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two news agencies. General Director Ganchimeg Badamdorj said that Montsame has recently made efforts to expand the spread of information by promptly updating official information on social media channels.
The leaders of the two agencies shared their views on the need for VNA and Montsame to increase information exchange on the economic, trade, investment and tourism fields of the two countries so that the business communities and people of the two countries can increase mutual understanding and expand economic cooperation relations between the two countries.

Established in 1921, Montsame Mongolian News Agency is one of the oldest media organizations in Mongolia. Headquartered in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Montsame has a total of 108 staff, reporters, editors, 20 permanent offices in provinces and cities in the country and two permanent offices abroad located in Moscow (Russia) and Beijing (China).
Montsame's main task is to collect and provide the latest information on domestic events to government agencies, newsrooms and disseminate information to the public.
