Regarding other areas of cooperation, the leaders of the two agencies committed to maintaining annual exchanges of journalist delegations; continuing to support each other at regional and international press forums in which both sides participate, especially within the framework of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).

Speaking at the meeting, Director General of VNA Nguyen Duc Loi stated that in the past, the two agencies had implemented the cooperation agreement under the Protocol on Professional Cooperation of 2001 relatively fully, but it was still not commensurate with the potential for cooperation between the two sides; he expressed his desire for both sides to further strengthen cooperation in the future.

General Director of VNA Nguyen Duc Loi announced the APEC Vietnam 2017 event and affirmed that, as the host news agency of the event, VNA is ready to provide information about the event to Montsame and hopes that Montsame will enhance the promotion of the event on its media channels.

Congratulating VNA on its recent achievements, Montsame Director General Ganchimeg Badamdorj, who visited Vietnam from August 13-18 at the invitation of the VNA Director General, expressed her desire to further strengthen cooperation between the two news agencies. Director General Ganchimeg Badamdorj stated that Montsame has made efforts to expand the reach of its information by promptly updating official information on social media channels.

The leaders of the two agencies shared the view that VNA and Montsame need to strengthen the exchange of information on the economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors of the two countries so that the business communities and people of both countries can enhance mutual understanding and expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
