Accordingly, the regulations on signs prohibiting left turns and right turns, as stipulated in Circular 06/2016/TT-BGTVT, are as follows:
"To indicate a prohibition against turning left or right (in the direction of the arrow) at intersections, sign P.123a "No Left Turn" or sign P.123b "No Right Turn" must be placed."The sign does not prohibit U-turns.".
Circular 72/2012/TT-BGTVT (replaced by Circular 06 and will cease to be in effect from November 1st) stipulates that if a "no left turn" sign is posted, vehicles are also not allowed to make U-turns.
