Develop a synchronized school system.
To date, the educational hub of Do Luong district boasts a fairly comprehensive school system, comprising 92 schools and 1 Vocational Training and Continuing Education Center, serving over 50,000 students at all levels. Mr. Nguyen Tat Tay, Head of the Education and Training Department of Do Luong district, stated: “Thanks to the timely attention, guidance, and investment from the district, the Education and Training Department and the schools have consistently implemented the plan to build schools meeting national standards for the 2021-2025 period, in conjunction with the National Target Program for building new rural areas. The movement for the socialization of education has been strengthened, with organizations and associations participating actively and enthusiastically. Through various resources, localities have invested in infrastructure towards solidifying, standardizing, and gradually modernizing facilities; currently, schools in Do Luong district basically meet the teaching and learning conditions, especially for the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program.”
In addition, the Education and Training Department of Do Luong district has paid special attention to the quality assurance of education and the construction of schools meeting national standards. Currently, four more schools have been recognized as meeting national standards (one school at level 1: Do Luong 2 High School, and three schools at level 2: Thinh Son Kindergarten, Lam Son Primary School, and Da Son Primary School); 28 schools have successfully re-met national standards at levels 1 and 2. Efforts to build schools that are green, clean, beautiful, and safe have been intensified.
Top in terms of educational quality
Along with the successful implementation of the preschool and primary education programs, the quality of secondary education in Do Luong has seen many positive changes, becoming increasingly solid and comprehensive; schools have made many efforts in applying management software, electronic lesson plan creation software, etc.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Do Luong district had 333 ninth-grade students recognized as outstanding students at the district level, and 1,080 students were recognized as "achieving success in the district-level quality assessment exam for outstanding students in grades 6, 7, and 8". Notably, Do Luong district ranked first in the province for outstanding ninth-grade students at the provincial level (with 66 students), including 3 students winning first prize; 18 students winning second prize; 28 students winning third prize; and 17 students receiving honorable mention.
In addition, the district ranked among the top in the province in the 2023-2024 high school entrance exam and in the entrance exam for specialized high schools, with 53 students (including 63 student groups) passing the entrance exam to specialized high schools inside and outside the province. Among them, Nguyen Dang Quang from Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School achieved the top score in Mathematics at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School...
One of the notable achievements in education and training in Do Luong is the quality of education at high schools and vocational training centers. In addition to moral and cultural education, these centers implement career guidance and life skills education for students, and employ active learning methods to foster their initiative, creativity, and self-learning skills; and enhance practical skills.
In grade 12, through various exams, Do Luong High Schools and the District's Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center have a relatively high percentage of students winning awards. 128 students from these high schools and centers won awards, including 7 first prizes, 50 second prizes, 38 third prizes, and 33 consolation prizes. The top-ranked high schools in the province are Do Luong 1 High School, Do Luong 3 High School, and Do Luong 4 High School. The Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has consistently ranked first in the province for the number of high-achieving students in the continuing education system for many years. Notably, in the 2023 high school graduation exam, many Do Luong schools ranked among the top in the province; 80 students scored above 50 points, with the top scorer in the Natural Sciences subject combination being Le Huu Manh Cuong - class 12C1, Do Luong 2 High School (53.2 points). The top scorer in the Social Sciences subject combination is Dau Phuong Linh - class 12D1, Do Luong 1 High School (54.35 points).
Over the past period, the Education Department of Do Luong district has proactively and promptly advised the District People's Committee on the development of education and training in the district, regularly coordinating closely with district-level departments, agencies, and localities, while also closely monitoring educational institutions to direct, guide, and advise on educational activities. As a result, the scale and network of schools have been appropriately planned, school facilities have been invested in and built to ensure effective teaching and learning, the teaching staff has been continuously supplemented to meet the requirements of the task, the quality of education in schools has been improved, and the quality of advanced education consistently ranks among the top in the province. It can be affirmed that Do Luong district is a shining example of educational quality. This achievement is thanks to the leadership and attention of the Party Committee and government, the close and effective coordination of various sectors and localities, the consensus of the people, and the efforts of the teaching staff.
Do Luong proudly lives up to its reputation as a "land of learning." To continue upholding this tradition, in the coming period, the Education and Training sector of Do Luong district will focus on implementing key tasks, namely: Caring for and improving the quality of the teaching staff; reforming management by granting autonomy to schools, linked with the responsibility of the head; strengthening the organization of educational activities to improve the overall quality of education; promoting the socialization of education, coordinating between schools, families, and organizations to care for education and invest in building school facilities, successfully implementing the 2018 General Education Program; and continuing to implement the model of high-quality key schools and advanced schools in line with international integration trends.
