Proud of the springs of the Party
(Baonghean.vn) - In the spring of 1930 - the year of the Horse, our Party was born when the country was still under the yoke of foreign imperialist rule, and our people were in a state of misery and slavery. Step by step, the Party matured, increasing its practical experience, leading the Vietnamese revolution through countless storms to great victories. In the journey of the Party's leadership of the revolution, there were moments marking major turning points, namely the years 1945 - the year of the Rooster, 1954 - the year of the Horse, 1975 - the year of the Rabbit, 1986 - the year of the Tiger, and 2021 - the year of the Ox.
Event13th CongressThis marks a new turning point in the Party's development, demonstrating the Party's intellectual depth and strategic vision in many aspects, especially in Party building, inspiring aspirations for a prosperous and happy nation, and emphasizing the theme of the people's happiness. This is because the great victories of our country over the past 91 years are the victories of the strength of national unity under the leadership of the Party, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the well-being and happiness of the people, and for the good of socialism.

President Ho Chi Minh once said:"With all the humility of a revolutionary, we still have the right to say: Our Party is truly great!" "Our Party is great because, apart from the interests of the class, the people, and the nation, our Party has no other interests."because"As long as there is even one Vietnamese person being exploited or living in poverty, the Party will still grieve, believing that it has not yet fulfilled its duty."because“From its very inception, our Party has raised high the banner of revolution, uniting and leading our entire people in the struggle for national liberation and class liberation. The Party's red flag shines brightly like the rising sun, tearing through the dark night, illuminating the path and guiding our people to confidently advance on the road to victory…”(1).
In the face of changing circumstances and new tasks, the Party is constantly innovating, rectifying, and consolidating its strength.Continue to lead the country forward.The Party has determined that: socio-economic development is central; Party building is key; building culture and human resources is the spiritual foundation; strengthening national defense and security is crucial and ongoing; important contents regarding the firm protection of the Fatherland; maintaining a peaceful and stable environment; improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs, proactively and actively integrating into the international community; promoting the strength of national unity and socialist democracy; building and perfecting the socialist rule of law; building a clean and strong Party, enhancing the Party's leadership capacity and fighting strength.
Directive No. 03-CT/TW dated May 14, 2011, on continuing to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's moral example, and Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, have created many exemplary advanced models and good people doing good deeds with great influence in society.
From the Central Committee Resolution No. 5 (8th Congress) in July 1998 on "Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity" to the Central Committee Resolution No. 9 of the 11th Congress on June 9, 2014, on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development," these principles have become deeply ingrained in practice, creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of all strata of the people, effectively preventing and pushing back negative aspects and limitations in addressing the relationship between economic growth and cultural development - a pressing issue today. This includes the Central Committee Resolution No. 4 of the 11th Congress on January 16, 2012, on some urgent issues in Party building today; and the Central Committee Resolution No. 4 of the 12th Congress on October 30, 2016, on strengthening Party building and rectification. Preventing and reversing the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and the manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party...; Regulation No. 08-QDi/TW dated October 25, 2018, of the Central Committee of the Party (12th term) on the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and Party members, first and foremost the members of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Committee, has truly permeated into practice, creating a new face of ideology, politics, culture, and morality within the Party; it has the power to deter, prevent, and handle negative violations, consolidating the trust of all strata of the people in the Party and the socialist regime. The people have sufficient grounds to believe and enthusiastically strive to make our country fundamentally industrialized in the direction of modernity, and all recognize that although there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead, "never before has our country had such a foundation and position as it does today."

Amidst global and regional instability, particularly the devastating impact of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, under the leadership of the Party, our country has maintained peace, political and social stability, continuous economic growth, ever-expanding foreign cooperation, and ever-increasing international prestige. Clearly, this is a great aspiration of the people of many countries around the world and a fortunate opportunity for the Vietnamese people.
Although some issues still cause us concern and worry, such as the decline and degeneration of some cadres and Party members, and the persistent problem of corruption and negative practices, if we have a strategic and dialectical vision encompassing both historical and contemporary perspectives, we cannot help but be proud of the country's achievements under the Party's leadership. Any issues that cause concern among the people are merely personal matters concerning a segment of Party members, and do not fundamentally reflect the nature of our Party. Therefore, it is impossible to equate the negative and corrupt behavior of some Party members with the essence of the Party. To objectively assess the role and contributions of the Party, it is necessary to look at the entire process and examine the examples of Party members who have sacrificed their lives for the country, such as comrades Tran Phu, Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Van Cu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Hong Phong, Hoang Van Thu, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Binh..., and currently General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, and many other cadres and Party members.
Welcoming the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the occasion of the Party's 91st anniversary and the Lunar New Year of the Ox - 2021, we pray for national peace and prosperity. These three major events are taking place at a very special time, when Vietnam is a place the whole world longs for and desires for a peaceful life and the protection of lives. While the whole world, including the richest and most powerful nations, is struggling to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing, with the number of deaths from Covid not decreasing, and even increasing dramatically, Vietnam has found effective ways to control Covid and maintain a peaceful life for its people. This is practical evidence not only for...The people have even more faith and love for the Party.Furthermore, it serves as a practical argument to refute the rhetoric demanding political pluralism, a multi-party opposition system, and the depoliticization of the armed forces, which distort the socialist regime and deny the achievements of the Vietnamese revolution.

Welcoming and closely following the developments of the 13th National Congress of the Party is also an opportunity for us to review the glorious journey, strengthen our faith in the Party's leadership; to be even more proud of our beloved Uncle Ho - the founder and mentor of our Party; to be even more enthusiastic about the daily changes in the country; and to be proud of the precious traditions and beautiful cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation.
To enjoy a peaceful, independent, and free life, we must be grateful to those who sacrificed, built, and resolutely defended the Fatherland in all circumstances. Every cadre, Party member, and citizen of Vietnam recognizes their responsibility more clearly, vowing to follow the Party's path; striving and working together to build a truly clean and strong Party; making our country richer and more beautiful, and our people more prosperous and happy. This is also fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's teachings:"Every party member must protect the Party and all of its policies and guidelines."make the Party always"It is a large collective, with a unified ideology and unified action."(2), always"Deserving to be recognized as a heroic party of a heroic nation"(3).
