Following public complaints, a driver who illegally overtook another vehicle on National Highway 46 has been penalized.
Based on feedback and photos from citizens, the Nghe An Traffic Police quickly verified the information, summoned a truck driver for questioning, and fined him for overtaking in a no-overtaking zone on National Highway 46, posing a potential traffic safety risk.
On the morning of April 12th, Team 5 of the Road Traffic Police (Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police) announced that they had verified, summoned, and processed a case of a truck driver violating regulations on overtaking.

Previously, the unit received complaints from residents about a truck with license plate 37H-104.51 overtaking another vehicle on a section of National Highway 46 marked with a "no overtaking" sign. This behavior was determined to pose a potential risk of accidents and affect the safety of other vehicles on the road.
Upon verification, the authorities identified the driver as Mr. V.D.N. (born in 1982, residing in Vinh Tuong commune, Nghe An province).
During the meeting, driver V.D.N. admitted to the violation. The violation occurred at approximately 8:30 AM on April 9, 2026, on National Highway 46.
Traffic Police Team No. 5 issued a fine to the driver for overtaking in an area with a "no overtaking" sign. For this offense, the driver was fined 5 million VND and had 2 points deducted from their driver's license as per regulations.
