Close-range patrols along the Vietnam-Laos border.
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 21st and 22nd, Thong Thu Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, in coordination with the militia of Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district, conducted a comprehensive patrol of the Vietnam-Laos border section.
This is an important activity aimed at promptly detecting violations of border regulations and resolving incidents occurring along the border.Protecting security and safety in border areas.At the same time, maintain political security stability and social order in the Vietnam-Laos border area under the unit's responsibility.
Lieutenant Colonel Cao Van Cam, Political Officer of Thong Thu Border Guard Station and head of the patrol team, said: "The patrol force overcame difficulties due to foggy, humid weather conditions and rugged terrain to thoroughly inspect border markers and check the safety of the Vietnam-Laos national border marker system from marker post 359 to 363, with a length of 6.813 km."
The patrol team inspected the condition of the border markers, cleared bushes, improved visibility, and cleaned the areas around the markers... As a result, the border line was found to be undisturbed, the border markers were in their original and safe condition; there were no signs of violations of the law, border regulations, or illegal border crossings; and absolute safety of personnel and equipment was ensured.
