Bilateral patrol to protect Vietnam - Laos border
In late June, Nhon Mai Border Post, Nghe An Border Guard, coordinated with Border Guard Company 217, Hua Phan Province Military Command (Laos) to organize bilateral patrols of the Vietnam - Laos border section managed by the two units.
This is an important activity of the two units, aiming to promptly detect violations of border regulations, promptly resolve incidents occurring on the border, protect security and safety of the border and border markers. At the same time, maintain political security and social order and safety in the areas on both sides of the border.
The patrol force overcame difficulties in rugged terrain and harsh weather, checked border markers, and checked the safety of the Vietnam-Laos border marker system, from marker 381 to marker 382, a length of about 4 km of forest road. As a result, the border markers were not moved, and the Vietnam-Laos border markers were kept intact and safe.
At the end of the patrol, the two sides exchanged information on security and order on both sides of the border, signed a record of the results of the patrol, management and border protection work; organized experience sharing, proposed policies and solutions, and agreed on the time and content for the next patrol.
On this occasion, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station presented gifts to Border Guard Company 217, Military Command of Xieng Khouang province, Laos.
