In late June, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, coordinated with Border Guard Company 217, Hua Phan Provincial Military Command (Laos) to conduct a joint patrol of the Vietnam-Laos border section under the management of both units.

This is an important activity of the two units, aimed at promptly detecting violations of border regulations, resolving incidents occurring on the border in a timely manner, and protecting the security and safety of the border line and border markers. At the same time, it helps maintain political stability and social order in the border areas on both sides.

The patrol force overcame difficulties posed by rugged terrain and harsh weather conditions to inspect border markers and check the safety of the Vietnam-Laos border marker system, from marker 381 to marker 382, a distance of approximately 4 km through the forest. As a result, the border markers remained undisturbed, and the Vietnam-Laos border markers were ensured to be in their original, safe condition.

At the end of the patrol, both sides exchanged information related to security and order on both sides of the border, signed a memorandum recording the results of the patrol, management, and protection of the border; held a debriefing session to propose policies and solutions and agreed on the time and content for the next patrol.

On this occasion, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station presented gifts to Border Guard Company 217, Xieng Khouang Provincial Military Command, Laos.
