On August 29th, at Nam Cat commune, the People's Court of Nam Dan district held a mobile court session to try a criminal case with the charge of "Theft of property and robbery" against the defendant Nguyen Khac Duy (born in 1993, residing in Tan Long hamlet, Tan Long commune, Tan Ky district).

According to the indictment, between February 2nd and March 8th, 2017, in the districts of Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, and Nam Dan, taking advantage of people's negligence, Nguyen Khac Duy and his accomplice Nguyen Van Truong (currently at large) stole four motorbikes from residents, with a total value of 48,600,000 VND.
In addition, Duy also committed the act of snatching property, specifically a handbag and a mobile phone worth 500,000 VND, from a citizen.
Previously, in October 2003, defendant Nguyen Khac Duy was sentenced to 7 months in prison by the Tan Ky District People's Court for "theft of property". Nearly a year after his release, in April 2015, Duy was again sentenced to 9 months in prison by the Tan Ky District People's Court for "theft of property".
True to his old habits, Duy refused to work and continued to commit numerous thefts and robberies. Considering the aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the court sentenced Nguyen Khac Duy to 6 years in prison.
