On the evening of April 14th, at Binh Minh Square (Cua Lo town), the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the People's Committee of Cua Lo town organized the opening ceremony of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2023 with the theme "Cua Lo - The Colors of the Sea".
Attending the opening ceremony, on behalf of Nghe An province were: Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province; Mr. Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, agencies and localities in the province.
Also attending the ceremony were leaders from the provinces of Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, and Hoa Binh.

Opening remarks at the FestivalCua Lo tourismIn 2023, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province - stated: Nghe An is a land of outstanding people and rich history. It has produced many talented individuals who have made significant contributions to the country. Nghe An is becoming a center rich in historical and cultural traditions, and is considered a top tourist destination in the country.
The beauty of Nghe An province is likened to a painting, due to the uniqueness of its thousands of historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, and incredibly diverse ecosystems. It is also the cradle of folk songs and rhymes, recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity… Within this colorful tapestry of Nghe An, the vibrant, dynamic, and youthful Cua Lo coastal tourist city stands out – a green gem of Nghe An.

Having been established as a tourist destination for 116 years and developed for 29 years, Cua Lo is gradually transforming, taking on the appearance of a bustling coastal tourist city, an ideal and attractive resort destination with infrastructure capable of accommodating more than 30,000 overnight guests.

Delegates and visitors also enjoyed a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks concluded the opening night of the Cua Lo Beach Tourism Festival 2023, leaving a lasting impression on tens of thousands of locals and tourists in attendance.
Following the opening ceremony of Cua Lo tourism in 2023, a series of rich and attractive activities will continue until April 30th, including: the National Tug-of-War and Stick-Pushing Competition (from April 7th to 22nd at the town's gymnasium and stadium); the Human Chess Tournament (April 15th at Binh Minh Square); the Tour Guide and Commentator Competition (from April 15th to 20th at the Sea Daisy Park); the Town's Excellent Chef Competition (from April 20th to 25th); the Street Festival and Night Food Festival; and the "Returning to the Land of Vi and Giam" art program…
