Tuong Duong assigns staff to be on duty 24/7 to respond to floods

(Baonghean) - Due to the impact of storm No. 2, in Tuong Duong district, the weather continues to be complicated, rain and floods continue to affect people's lives and activities. The district has organized 24/7 on-call to handle any situations that arise.

To proactively cope with the flood situation, especially flash floods that may occur, in recent days, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district has developed a plan and assigned permanent forces to key areas to contribute to ensuring the safety of people and property.

Faced with complicated weather developments, especially to prevent negative weather phenomena such as flash floods, inundation, etc., the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district directed departments and offices to deploy plan 4 on-site, minimizing damage to people and property caused by rain and storms. At the same time, urging communes to proactively drain water to ensure safety for rice and crop areas.

The District People's Committee also inspected and developed plans to ensure the safety of reservoirs, irrigation dams, projects under construction, or projects that are being repaired; assigned 24/7 forces to control and ensure the safety of people and vehicles at spillways, flooded roads, and those at risk of landslides.

Mr. Lo Kham Kha - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuong Duong district said: "To promptly direct and overcome the consequences when bad situations occur, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control has sent members to all communes and towns in the district. Through inspection, agencies, departments as well as communes have assigned staff to take turns on duty 24/7"./.
