Tuong Duong suffers heavy damage due to heavy rains.
The heavy rain on the night of July 21st in Tuong Duong district caused damage to many houses, crops, and other structures.

According to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Tuong Duong District, heavy rain lasting for many hours on the night of July 21st occurred in the following communes: Tam Quang, Tam Dinh, Tam Thai, Luong Minh, Thach Giam Town, Yen Na, Yen Thang, Yen Tinh, and Huu Khuong.

The heavy rain caused flooding in several localities. Statistics show that 3 houses in the communes of Tam Thai, Yen Tinh, and Huu Khuong were damaged; many areas of crops were buried under mud and rocks, and many fish ponds were flooded; 4 buffaloes and cows, and dozens of chickens in the communes of Yen Thang, Tam Dinh, and Tam Thai were swept away by the water.

Floodwaters submerged the Tam Thai Commune People's Committee headquarters, damaging many computers, printers, and archived documents; caused landslides on the rural road in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune; and damaged many water supply facilities, fences, and irrigation works... The total estimated damage is over 671 million VND.

Following the heavy rains and floods, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee, and the District Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense Command quickly directed the communes to urgently compile statistics and proceed with damage remediation.
Accordingly, the communes mobilized police, military forces, and commune-level departments to coordinate efforts to mitigate the consequences and organize cleanup and environmental sanitation.
