Tuong Duong suffered heavy damage due to heavy rain.
Heavy rain on the night of July 21 in Tuong Duong district damaged many houses, crops and many constructions.

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Tuong Duong district said that heavy rain lasting for many hours on the night of July 21 occurred in the communes of Tam Quang, Tam Dinh, Tam Thai, Luong Minh, Thach Giam town, Yen Na, Yen Thang, Yen Tinh, Huu Khuong.

The rain caused flooding in several localities. Statistics showed that 3 houses in the communes of Tam Thai, Yen Tinh, and Huu Khuong were damaged; many areas of crops were buried by rocks and soil, many fish ponds were flooded; 4 buffaloes, cows, and dozens of chickens in the communes of Yen Thang, Tam Dinh, and Tam Thai were swept away by the water.

Floodwaters inundated the headquarters of the People's Committee of Tam Thai commune, damaging many computers, printers, and archives; landslides on rural roads in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune; many domestic water works, fences, and irrigation works were damaged... Total damage is estimated at over 671 million VND.

After the flood, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee and the District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense quickly directed the communes to urgently collect statistics and proceed to overcome the damage.
Accordingly, the communes mobilized police, military forces and commune-level departments to coordinate in overcoming the consequences and organizing environmental cleaning and sanitation.
