Ukrainian General: Missiles are losing effectiveness against Russian electronic warfare

According to Ria Novosti, in an interview with Pryamoy TV channel, Major General Sergei Krinovos, former deputy commander of Ukraine's special forces, said that Russia has created such powerful electronic warfare systems that the missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are gradually losing their effectiveness.

"Russia's electronic warfare is very strong and large. Over the past 20 years, Russia has developed and modernized these systems so deeply that Ukraine cannot effectively use drones and high-precision missiles," General Krinovos said.

At the same time, the general noted that it was this air power that Russia "freely" used UAVs to destroy equipment and manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, in May, General Krinovos made some statements about the Russian military, because he wanted to "look at the situation soberly." According to Krinovos, the Russian military has significant advantages that complicate the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counterattack. In fact, Ukraine is dealing with a country with a strong economy, which is dealing with a large Russian army.

According to the general, the Kiev government is unlikely to achieve its goals.

Western experts have repeatedly noted and highly appreciated the effectiveness of Russia's electronic warfare systems. Former Pentagon advisor Colonel Douglas McGregor said that Russia's domestic electronic warfare has a strong ability to suppress the electronic equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Military analyst Frank-Stefan Gadi added that the Russian military had "intercepted" Ukraine's HIMARS multiple launch rocket system with powerful electronic warfare systems. According to him, the combat capability of the US multiple launch rocket systems in Ukraine has ended.
