A U23 Vietnam player shared his emotions after reading an article about the situation of female worker Nguyen Thi Sinh (from Thai Binh) who has no money to return home for Tet because her company KL Texwell Vina (in Dong Nai province) owes her salary. After reading the article, a U23 Vietnam player on the payroll of Hanoi FC contacted the reporter and asked for her contact information because he wanted to help the female worker.
About an hour later, Ms. Sinh called the editorial office.still sobbing. But mixed with her sobs, she told us a story that she likened to a real-life fairy tale.
The 32-year-old woman choked up as she shared her gratitude when a U23 Vietnam player transferred her enough money to go home for Tet and buy new clothes for her growing son. However, this player asked to remain anonymous, and only shared that he was a member of the U23 Vietnam team who had just returned from China.
"At this moment, I feel very happy and want to say many words of gratitude to the player who helped me and my child. I will spend part of the money to buy my child a new set of clothes to wear for Tet like other young people. This is a promise I have broken to my child for many years," Ms. Sinh shared.
After the billion-dollar party of Mr. Hien and the "storm" of bonuses for U23 Vietnam, one of the players who received the highest bonus shared his joy to help a female worker escape the situation of having to spend Tet with instant noodles.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Sinh's second meal of the day is the remaining half of a package of instant noodles. The 32-year-old woman said that tomorrow (February 11), she will still stay at the company to claim a month's salary that KL Texwell Vina owes her in particular and thousands of other workers in general. Ms. Nguyen Thi Sinh left her hometown Thai Binh in 2013, went to Dong Nai and applied to work at KL Texwell Vina Company. During her time working, because her salary was not enough to support her family, she often asked for overtime to improve her income.
When she didn't get to work overtime, she went to car washes to ask for extra work. Life was always poor. Her son was sent to his grandparents in the countryside to be raised. A few days before Tet, when she called and her son asked, "When will you come home, Mom?", she just kept silent.
But today, the 7-year-old son and his elderly parents in their hometown received a phone call with good news from Ms. Sinh.
A touching story at the end of the year, about how Vietnamese players in general and young players of the U23 Vietnam team in particular deal with bonus money.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai province has also agreed to advance about 7 billion VND to support 1,900 workers who are owed wages by KL Texwell Vina Company to return home for Tet. The money will be disbursed tomorrow, February 11 (December 26).
