The campaign prominently promotes the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on Nghe An.

CONDUCT EFFECTIVE PROPAGANDA WORK, IN CONNECTING IT WITH SOCIAL WELFARE ACTIVITIES

In September 2023, press agencies strictly adhered to the directives and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the state management of the Department of Information and Communications; providing comprehensive updates on current affairs, politics, visits and working trips to Nghe An by leaders of ministries, departments, and agencies; and foreign and domestic activities of provincial leaders.

In particular, the press agencies extensively reported on and publicized the Conference on the thorough understanding and implementation of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023, of the Politburo; activities commemorating the 60th anniversary of the founding of Vinh City, the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do;…

Currently, Nghe An has 82 media outlets operating in the province, including 3 local media outlets (with 160 reporters); 39 representative offices and 40 resident reporters of central media agencies (with over 200 reporters), ranking 4th nationwide. The Nghe An Journalists Association is a political, social, and professional organization of journalists in the province, currently comprising 14 branches with 396 members.

The press agencies have prominently reported on and publicized the province's decisive socio-economic directives and management; at the same time, they have reflected on the landslide situation, the risk of losing agricultural land, and the lack of safety for people in landslide-prone areas; they have disseminated information, issued warnings, and raised public awareness to reduce damage during the rainy and stormy season; and they have emphasized the efforts of localities and functional units in implementing disaster prevention and control measures.

In addition, several issues such as pollution from mineral exploitation; parking problems at shopping malls; violations in land management; the recurrence of overloaded vehicles; and some shortcomings in administrative management at the local level... were reported and reflected upon by the press.

In September 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department issued directives to address four outstanding issues raised by the press, and by October 5th, had received reports on the handling results. The Department of Information and Communications received two documents from the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee directing the handling of two issues reported by the press; simultaneously, it issued one document requesting the Department of Transport to investigate and address one issue raised by the press.

In addition, the Department of Information and Communications has received five documents from the following units: Vinh City People's Committee, Dien Chau District People's Committee, Yen Thanh District People's Committee, and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, regarding the proactive handling of the issues raised in the report.

In September 2023, media outlets in the province donated, appealed for donations, and contributed to help disadvantaged people in the province with a total amount of over 1 billion VND.

SUPPORTING NGHE AN IN ATTRACTING INVESTMENT

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee - provided further information on the development of the Regulations on "Speaking, providing information to the press and handling information published and broadcast in the press, and information reflected on social media by State administrative agencies in Nghe An province," aiming to best serve and support the work of journalists and reporters; and currently in the drafting process, he hoped to continue receiving feedback from press agencies and journalists to finalize it.

The Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the success of the journalists' branch congresses. Journalists and media organizations provided in-depth coverage and information on political events, economic and social development, and the province's mechanisms and policies, clearly demonstrating their role and responsibility in social welfare work.

Looking ahead, Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh suggested that media agencies continue to pay attention to and promote information and propaganda, and continue to publish in-depth articles and thorough analyses on the economic and social development of the province, especially the results of investment attraction and the business investment environment of the province, in order to spread the image of Nghe An to domestic and foreign investors.

The Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also requested that media agencies and journalists in the province focus on publicizing the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023, of the Politburo, paying particular attention to specific development targets and the nine main tasks and solutions to bring about rapid, sustainable, and comprehensive development in Nghe An.

In addition, in October 2023, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association requested media agencies to continue promoting the dissemination of Resolution No. 6 (13th Congress); and major events and holidays.

The Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association request that media agencies intensify the dissemination of information and propaganda highlighting the positive and clear results in attracting investment, culture, and social affairs; services and tourism; administrative reform, creating favorable conditions for production and business; and doing a good job in social welfare work, especially in supporting the construction of housing for the poor.

Continue to pay attention to information and reflect the direction and management of the provincial leaders in promoting the disbursement of public investment capital, strengthening budget revenue, and resolutely reforming the administrative system, in order to remove current difficulties and obstacles, contributing to accelerating the province's growth rate.
