USD exchange rate today in the world

The US Dollar Index (DXY) rose 0.27% to 106.98 in recent trading, helped by better-than-expected inflation data. The euro fell after the ECB cut interest rates for the fourth time this year. A US Labor Department report showed producer prices rose 0.4% in November, beating expectations of a 0.2% increase, bolstering expectations for a rate cut by the Fed next week.

The ECB cut interest rates by 25 basis points and left the door open for further easing, sending the euro down 0.2% to $1.0473. The Swiss National Bank cut interest rates by 50 basis points, sending the dollar up 0.78% to 0.89135 francs.

The dollar also rose slightly against the Japanese yen, reaching 152.525 yen, while the market reduced expectations of a BOJ rate hike. The Australian dollar fell 0.06% to $0.6365, after Australia's unemployment rate fell sharply in November.
