USD exchange rate today, November 24th: Free market USD price continues to rise.

The USD exchange rate continued to rise in the free market this morning, November 24th, while commercial banks maintained stable rates.

On the morning of November 24th, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,144 VND per USD, an increase of 8 VND compared to the end of last week. The reference exchange rate at the Foreign Exchange Management Department was listed at 23,930 - 26,342 VND/USD for buying and selling, a slight increase compared to the previous session.

The USD exchange rate at major banks is trending upwards. Vietcombank is quoting 26,151 VND/USD for buying and 26,401 VND/USD for selling, with a spread of 250 VND.

BIDV also quoted the exchange rate at 26,181 - 26,401 VND/USD, a difference of 212 VND.

At VietinBank, the exchange rate stands at 26,162 VND/USD for buying and 26,401 VND/USD for selling.

Sacombank listed the exchange rate at 26,155 - 26,401 VND/USD.

On the free market, the USD exchange rate increased by 29 dong this morning. The buying price reached 27,600 dong/USD and the selling price was 27,700 dong/USD. The difference between the buying and selling rates is currently 120 dong, lower than the spread at banks.

The fact that the black market USD exchange rate is rising faster than the bank rate indicates that demand for off-system transactions remains high. The spread between the two markets continues to widen, making the currency market more active in the final days of the month.
