In a social media post, American billionaire Elon Musk criticized the US administration's decision to provide military aid to Ukraine.

Musk's move was intended to comment on the message from prominent figure Josie Glabach regarding controversial decisions by the US administration, including $60 billion in aid to Ukraine and to 12 biological laboratories.

"One of the worst bills in history," billionaire Musk wrote on social media platform X.

Earlier, commenting on reports of Russian troops approaching the city of Krasnoarmeysk, Musk stated that Ukraine should have achieved peace a long time ago.

Sharing this view, former US diplomat Chaz Freeman, in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung (Germany), argued that Ukraine should focus on ending the conflict as quickly as possible.

"Russia currently has the advantage. Ukraine has lost more than 20% of its territory and risks losing other important territories, including the Black Sea coast. Therefore, ending this war as soon as possible is in Ukraine's best interest. President Zelensky seems to be beginning to realize this," said former US diplomat Freeman.

Mr. Freeman believes that for the peace process in Ukraine to succeed, certain conditions must be met. Moscow and Kyiv need to reach an agreement on the border. In addition, minority groups in Ukraine “should be given the right to use their own language and culture,” the former US diplomat said. He emphasized that he wants to see Ukraine as a neutral country – a buffer zone between Russia and Europe.

Previously, on December 18th, Foreign Policy magazine (USA) reported that the West wanted to use $300 billion in frozen Russian assets to send to Ukraine before the new US president's term officially began.
