Over the past period, TYM branches in Nghe An province have not only been microfinance service providers but also community pillars through a series of social welfare activities. From supporting housing construction for the poor, sponsoring orphans, awarding scholarships and livelihoods for impoverished women, to community health care, each program reflects the philosophy of "giving opportunities - spreading love," contributing to helping people build stable lives and strengthen community bonds.

Providing support for those in exceptional circumstances.

One early winter day, following the staff of the Hung Nguyen branch of the Microfinance Organization (TYM), we visited the small home of Le Thi Bao Chau in Hung Loi 3 hamlet, Lam Thanh commune. The early winter chill seemed to penetrate deeper into the quiet space, where the grief had not yet subsided since the sudden death of her father – the family's breadwinner – less than four months ago, leaving behind a mother suffering from a terminal illness and Bao Chau, only in third grade, along with her older brother in eighth grade. And then, the atmosphere brightened when the TYM Hung Nguyen branch staff arrived, bringing with them words of comfort and encouragement; warm handshakes and hugs, along with small gifts contributed by the staff.

Bao Chau's mother, Phan Thi Thom, tearfully shared: "Since her father passed away, our family has lost its pillar of support. I've been constantly ill, sometimes at home, sometimes in and out of the hospital for treatment, unable to work to support my children. Fortunately, we have relatives, neighbors, and the community extending a helping hand. In particular, the staff at TYM Hung Nguyen branch have sponsored and provided monthly support for Bao Chau, helping my children and me alleviate some of the difficulties during this most challenging period. This is not only a source of material encouragement but also a spiritual anchor, giving the three of us the strength to overcome adversity."

In My Son hamlet, Dai Hue commune, Mrs. Dinh Thi Loan is in particularly difficult circumstances. This year, Mrs. Loan turned 67, lives alone, has poor health, and faces economic hardship. She is classified as a poor household and receives monthly social welfare benefits. For a long time, Mrs. Loan has lived alone in a dilapidated house built by her parents, siblings, and relatives more than 30 years ago, which has become a constant worry during storms and heavy rain.

Understanding Ms. Loan's difficult circumstances, TYM's Hung Nguyen branch provided her with 60 million VND to build a new house. Along with support from TYM, local political organizations, relatives, and neighbors, Ms. Loan was able to build a new house, totaling approximately 160 million VND.

The house is not just a shelter from the rain and sun, but also holds hope, warmth, and simple yet precious joy for Mrs. Loan after many years of hardship. On the day of the inauguration and handover, as she moved into her new home, Mrs. Loan's eyes welled up with tears as she tightly grasped the hands of TYM officials: "For so many years I've worried about storms and floods, something I never dared to dream of – having a new house like this to live in. Thank you to all the staff, organizations, and people for giving me a peaceful place to live in my old age."

Spreading the spirit of community responsibility.

The stories of Le Thi Bao Chau and Dinh Thi Loan are just two of the hundreds of social welfare activities that TYM Nghe An has implemented since the beginning of 2025. Mr. Vo Van Dong – Director of TYM branches in Nghe An – shared: “With the motto ‘giving opportunities – spreading love’”,TYM is not just a financial services organization, but also a "bridge" connecting people and fostering social responsibility.

In each locality, TYM branches integrate their business activities with social welfare work. This is not just individual gifts, but is identified as a core part of a sustainable development strategy, implemented systematically, selectively, targeted correctly, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact.

From supporting housing construction, sponsoring orphans, awarding scholarships, providing livelihoods, assisting people affected by natural disasters, to healthcare – all are aimed at helping people "stand on their own two feet."

In just the first 10 months of 2025, TYM Nghe An supported 15 new rural development projects, totaling nearly 100 million VND.

"

We have always considered social welfare as the "bond" that connects TYM with the community and spreads TYM's business philosophy and social responsibility.

Mr. Vo Van Dong – Director of TYM branches in Nghe An

The Director of the Nghe An branch, Vo Van Dong, emphasized: “We always consider social welfare as the ‘bond’ connecting TYM with the community. Every project, every gift, every child sponsored helps poor women and vulnerable people have the opportunity to change their lives, build a more prosperous and happy life, contributing to nurturing and spreading the tradition of compassion, mutual support, and sharing of the nation – the core values that make up the strength of Vietnamese society today and TYM’s business philosophy of sustainable development and social responsibility. Therefore, this activity will continue to be implemented and spread by TYM in the future.”
