TYM Nghe An: Spreading love, fostering social security
In recent times, TYM branches in Nghe An province have not only been organizations providing microfinance services, but also been a support for the community through a series of social security activities. From supporting the construction of houses for the poor, sponsoring orphans, granting scholarships and livelihoods to poor women, to taking care of community health, each program demonstrates the philosophy of "giving opportunities - spreading love", contributing to helping people build a stable life and connect the community.

Providing "support" for special circumstances
One early winter day, following the staff of the Microfinance Organization (TYM) Hung Nguyen branch, we visited the small house of Le Thi Bao Chau, in Hung Loi 3 hamlet, Lam Thanh commune. The early cold of the season seemed to penetrate deeper into the quiet space, where the loss had not yet subsided when the father - the pillar of the family - passed away suddenly less than 4 months ago, leaving behind a mother with a serious illness and Bao Chau, who was only in grade 3, and her brother in grade 8. And then that space seemed happier when the group of officers and staff of TYM Hung Nguyen branch entered, bringing with them words of inquiry and encouragement; warm, affectionate handshakes and hugs, along with small gifts contributed by the officers and staff.
Bao Chau's mother, Ms. Phan Thi Thom, choked up as she shared: "Since her father passed away, the family has lost support. I myself have been sick all the time, staying at home today, going to the hospital tomorrow for treatment, unable to do anything to raise my child. Luckily, there are still brothers, relatives, neighbors and the community who extend a helping hand. In particular, the brothers and sisters at TYM Hung Nguyen branch have sponsored and provided monthly support for Bao Chau, helping my mother and I to ease some of the difficulties during the most difficult period. This is not only a source of material encouragement, but also a spiritual support for the three of us to have more strength to overcome adversity."

In My Son hamlet, Dai Hue commune, Mrs. Dinh Thi Loan has a particularly difficult situation. This year, Mrs. Loan turns 67, lives alone, is in poor health, has difficult economic conditions, is a poor household, and is receiving monthly social welfare benefits. For a long time, Mrs. Loan has lived alone in a level 4 house built by her parents, siblings, and relatives more than 30 years ago, which has now deteriorated, becoming a constant worry every time there is a storm.
Understanding Mrs. Loan's difficult situation, TYM Hung Nguyen branch supported Mrs. Dinh Thi Loan with 60 million VND to build a new house. With support from TYM, organizations in the local political system, relatives and neighbors, Mrs. Loan was able to build a new house, with a total value of about 160 million VND.
The house is not only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, but also brings hope, warmth and joy, seemingly simple but precious to Mrs. Loan after many years of hard work. On the day of inauguration, handover and moving into the new house, Mrs. Loan's eyes filled with tears as she held the hands of the TYM staff: "After so many years of fearing storms, what I never dared to dream of was having a new house to live in like this. Thank you, brothers and sisters, all levels, organizations and people for giving me a peaceful place to rely on in my old age."

Spreading the spirit of community responsibility
The stories of Le Thi Bao Chau and Mrs. Dinh Thi Loan are two of hundreds of social security activities that TYM Nghe An has implemented since the beginning of 2025. Mr. Vo Van Dong - Director of TYM branches in Nghe An shared: With the motto of "giving opportunities - spreading love",TYM is not only a financial service provider, but also a "bridge" of humanity and social responsibility.
In each locality, TYM branches combine business activities with social security work. These activities are not individual gifts, but are identified as a core part of the sustainable development strategy, implemented very methodically, selectively, targeting the right subjects, ensuring sustainability and long-term spread.
From supporting housing construction, sponsoring orphans, granting scholarships, providing livelihoods, supporting people affected by natural disasters, to providing health care – all are aimed at helping people “stand on their own two feet”.

In the first 10 months of 2025, TYM branches in Nghe An have sponsored 10 orphans in especially difficult circumstances, with a commitment of an average of 300,000 VND/month for each child and a support period of at least 3 years or until the children finish high school.
In addition, TYM also supported the construction of 2 "Love Homes"; provided livelihoods for 10 families; awarded scholarships to 7 poor students who overcame difficulties; supported more than 400 customers affected by natural disasters and provided free medical examinations and medicine to nearly 900 people...; the total cost for the activities was more than 1 billion VND.

Along with the above activities, TYM also actively implements many meaningful social activities, such as supporting TYM customers to access and apply digital technology in life; actively accompanying the government and Women's Union at all levels in the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

The projects and works supported by TYM such as roads, playgrounds, community activity areas... have contributed to changing the face of the countryside, connecting the community, spreading the spirit of mutual assistance and sharing. In the first 10 months of 2025 alone, TYM Nghe An has supported the construction of 15 new rural projects, with a total value of nearly 100 million VND.
We always consider social security as the "string" connecting TYM with the community and spreading TYM's business philosophy and social responsibility.
Mr. Vo Van Dong - Director of TYM branches in Nghe An
Director of the branches in Nghe An - Vo Van Dong emphasized: “We always consider social security as the “string” connecting TYM with the community. Each project, each gift, each sponsored child; helps poor women and the disadvantaged have the opportunity to change their lives, build a more prosperous and happier life, contributing to cultivating and spreading the tradition of humanity, mutual assistance, and good sharing of the nation - the core values that make up the strength of Vietnamese society today and the business philosophy associated with sustainable development and social responsibility of TYM. Therefore, this activity will continue to be implemented and spread by TYM in the coming time”.
