SLNA U14 secured all three points against host team Dong A Thanh Hoa U14.
On the afternoon of October 25th, at Hong Duc University Stadium (Thanh Hoa), U14 Song Lam Nghe An won 2-1 against U14 Dong A Thanh Hoa, thereby securing a full 3 points in Round 3 of the 2025/26 Northern U14 League.
Entering the match, U14 SLNA had 4 points after the first two rounds, temporarily ranking 3rd in the standings. With the goal of catching up to the leading group, coach Le Van Hung's team was determined to win despite playing away from home.
From the very first minutes, the Nghe An youth team proactively pushed their formation forward and controlled the game. Their attacks down the flanks were executed flexibly, creating many opportunities towards the U14 Thanh Hoa goal. However, in the first half, SLNA's strikers such as The Manh, Truong Van Tai, and Duc Anh were unable to capitalize on these chances.
In the second half, the deadlock was broken when Trong Vu executed a beautiful free kick, sending the ball straight into the top corner, opening the scoring for U14 Song Lam Nghe An. The joy was short-lived, however, as the home team Thanh Hoa unexpectedly equalized 1-1 from a set piece.
Undeterred, the young SLNA players continued to maintain pressure and were deservedly rewarded. In the 33rd minute of the first half, following a combination play on the right wing, Trong Vu raced down the flank and crossed the ball for Nhat Duy to finish accurately, securing a 2-1 victory for the visiting team.
With 3 points earned away at Thanh Hoa, U14 Song Lam Nghe An increased their total points to 7 after 3 rounds, continuing to chase the leading group in the U14 League Northern Region 2025/26 standings.
This victory not only boosted the morale of coach Le Van Hung's team but also affirmed the strength of one of Vietnam's leading youth training centers. In the next round, U14 SLNA will travel to Hanoi to face U14 Hanoi Police.
