Throughout the 120 minutes of play, the Japanese U19 team controlled the game and constantly pressed the Saudi Arabian players. However, the team from the Land of the Rising Sun found themselves frustrated by Saudi Arabia's tight and strong defense.

Conversely, if the West Asian players had finished better and capitalized on the opportunities they had, they could have made Japan pay the price. Most notably, there were two chances created by Abdulrahman Alyami and Rakan Alanaze.

The match ended in a draw after 120 minutes of regulation and extra time, so the winner had to be decided by a penalty shootout.

In this tense penalty shootout, Japan U19 emerged victorious with a 5-3 scoreline. Saudi Arabian striker Abdullah Magrshi was the player who shot his fourth penalty over the crossbar.

This is the first time in history that the Japanese U19 team has won the Asian U19 Championship after 36 appearances and 7 appearances in the final. It's a well-deserved victory, as they didn't concede a single goal throughout the entire tournament.
