U19 Song Lam Nghe An has been drawn into a favorable group at the 2026 National U19 Championship Finals.

The National U19 Football Championship is one of the most important tournaments in Vietnam's youth competition system, playing a crucial role in training and developing the next generation of players for the country's football. Through the tournament, young players have the opportunity to gain experience, gradually improve their skills and expertise in a professional competitive environment.

The final round of the 2026 National U19 Football Championship will take place from January 14th to 27th, 2026 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, with the participation of 12 teams including: The Cong Viettel I, PVF, PVF-CAND (host), Hanoi, Song Lam Nghe An, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Ho Chi Minh City, SHB Da Nang, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Dong Thap.

According to the format, 12 teams are divided into 3 groups, playing a single round-robin tournament. The top 3 teams from each group, the 3 second-place teams, and the 2 best third-place teams will advance to the quarter-finals, and then compete in the semi-finals and final.

Notably, the draw placed U19 Song Lam Nghe An in Group C alongside U19 SHB Da Nang, U19 Hoang Anh Gia Lai, and U19 Dong Thap. This is considered a relatively favorable group for the Nghe An football team, as they do not have to face too many opponents with superior squad depth.

In their opening match, U19 Song Lam Nghe An will face U19 SHB Da Nang, a team considered a direct competitor for the top spot in Group C. The result of this match will likely create a significant advantage in the race to qualify for the knockout round.
