Vietnam's U20 women's team intensifies training in Bangkok, aiming for the 2026 Asian Championship.

On the afternoon of March 30th, the Vietnamese U20 women's team continued their second training session in Bangkok (Thailand), actively finalizing preparations for the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship Finals.

In a serious and highly focused training atmosphere, the entire team maintained a high intensity of exercise, closely following the training plan set by the coaching staff.

The atmosphere during the training session was both positive and serious.

Professional training programs are implemented comprehensively, ranging from physical fitness and improved coordination to game organization and tactical discipline, to ensure optimal readiness before the tournament begins.

Before the training session, striker Luu Hoang Van shared that the team had been preparing thoroughly in recent times:

"The Vietnam U20 women's team has been training and preparing very seriously, adhering to the tactics of the coaching staff over the past period in preparation for the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship."

Indonesia lost at home, missing out on the championship title.

The Indonesian team was unable to hold their own against their younger opponents and had to concede the championship.

From the penalty spot, Marin Petkov (16) beat goalkeeper Auderio to bring the championship to Bulgaria.

Facing Bulgaria, the Indonesian team operated very solidly, in the way we often see from a Southeast Asian team that uses many foreign players. However, the sharpness, good finishing, or the modern, highly effective style of play that we had hoped for were absent.

Host nation Indonesia lost 0-1 to Bulgaria. The only goal of the match was scored by Marin Petkov from a penalty in the 38th minute.

In this match, coach Herdman fielded his strongest naturalized squad, including goalkeeper Auderio, Jay Adzes (currently playing in Serie A), and many players currently playing in the Netherlands, Japan, and Germany. Unfortunately, a proud Indonesian team with many foreign players lacked cohesion and couldn't find a way out, failing to create any decisive moves to finish off their opponents.

Finally, coach Herdman had to bring on local players like Beckham Putra, Ramahdan... Indonesia's playing style became smoother, but it still posed no threat to Dimitar Mitov's goal.

Thus, Indonesia won the FIFA Serie A title, with Bulgaria taking the championship. In the third-place match, Saint Kitt & Nevis defeated the Solomon Islands 4-2.

Germany narrowly defeated Ghana.

Today's football results (March 31st): Germany secured a narrow 2-1 victory in their friendly match against Ghana, thanks to a brilliant performance from Deniz Undav in the 88th minute.

Germany started dominantly and nearly opened the scoring in the 6th minute of their friendly match against Ghana in Stuttgart. However, Florian Wirtz's beautiful free-kick hit the post.

Havertz celebrates scoring the opening goal for the German national team.

The turning point of the match occurred just before halftime when VAR intervened and the referee determined that a Ghanaian player had handled the ball in the penalty area, awarding Germany a penalty. Kai Havertz successfully converted the penalty, scoring the opening goal for Germany.

In the second half, the Ghana team made several substitutions and were ready to play more aggressively in attack. The African team began to create opportunities before equalizing 1-1 in the 70th minute.

The period that followed saw Germany's game become deadlocked, and it seemed the match would end in a draw. However, Deniz Undav became Germany's hero in the 88th minute when he received a header from Leroy Sane and leaped to score, securing a 2-1 victory.

Germany concluded their FIFA Days 2026 friendly matches with two narrow victories. Julian Nagelsmann's team won 4-3 against Switzerland and 2-1 against Ghana.
