U60 man robbed, used knife to stab special forces scout to escape
Two robbers who robbed a woman's handbag while being chased by special criminal investigation officers threw helmets and stabbed her to escape.
On the morning of May 9, District 1 Police (HCMC) announced that they had arrested two robbers.Le Ngoc Son (born in 1962, residing in District 3) and Nguyen Van Hung (born in 1995, residing in District 1) were arrested to investigate the act of robbery.

On the evening of May 8, Son (58 years old) drove a motorbike with license plate 59C1 - 106.91 carrying Hung around the streets in the center of District 1 in search of "prey". At around 8:30 pm that same evening, the two drove to Nam Quoc Cang Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, and discovered a woman getting out of a car and carrying a handbag.
Son immediately drove the car close to the woman so Hung could snatch her handbag and then accelerate to escape. At the same time, the criminal investigation team (District 1 Police) discovered and chased her.

The chase went through many routes, when the scout overtook and pressed close to the two robbers, Hung grabbed his helmet and threw it, stabbed the scout with a knife and continued to escape.
The reconnaissance force continued to chase to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, district 3, quickly overtook the vehicle and knocked down the 2 robbers onto the street. The 2 robbers were arrested by the reconnaissance force with evidence including a handbag containing 30 million VND and a knife.
It is known that both robbers have previous convictions for “Theft of property” and “Robbery”. The robbery case is currently being investigated and handled by District 1 Police according to the law.
