Conversely, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a stern warning to the US and the UAE. He stressed that the parties should not get bogged down in a military "quagmire" in the Strait of Hormuz and asserted that there is no military solution to the current crisis. Araghchi also stated that negotiations were showing signs of progress thanks to Pakistan's mediation, while criticizing US intervention plans as a dead end.
