Vinh City People's Committee summarizes national defense and security work
(Baonghean.vn) - At the Conference, Vinh City People's Committee approved the report on the results of implementing the National Defense and Security tasks in 2020, and at the same time proposed 8 key tasks in 2021.
On the morning of January 12, Vinh City People's Committee held a conference to review national defense and security work in 2020 and deploy tasks for 2021.
Attending the conference were: Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Nguyen Van Lu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Tran Ngoc Tu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee and representatives of departments, military forces and city police.

2020 was a year of many difficulties. The COVID-19 pandemic developed complicatedly, the climate changed erratically, the heat lasted for a long time, and floods caused great damage. However, the economic and social situation remained basically stable, the growth rate of the whole province reached 4.45%, and Vinh city alone grew at an estimated 4.55%. Under the active leadership and direction of the City Party Committee, the flexible management of the City People's Committee, along with the efforts of all levels, sectors, and effective staff work of the forces, security and order in the city were always maintained, social order and safety were ensured, and social security continued to receive due attention.
