The People's Committee of Nghe An province has committed to ensuring that Song Lam Nghe An meets the requirements to participate in the V.League 2026/2027.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a document committing to soliciting at least 45 billion VND in sponsorship for Song Lam Nghe An. This timely move helps the team from Nghe An province fulfill its financial criteria, officially qualifying it to participate in the V.League 2026/2027.
Following reports from Nghe An newspapers, radio, and television about the risk of Song Lam Nghe An being unable to participate in the V.League 2026/2027 due to not meeting financial criteria, on April 28, the relevant authorities in Nghe An quickly took action.

Accordingly, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has urgently reviewed the situation and submitted a document requesting the Provincial People's Committee to provide solutions to overcome difficulties for the club. The focus is on ensuring financial capacity, a decisive factor in the process of completing the licensing application to participate in the new season.
Based on a proposal from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on April 28, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Document No. 4535/UBND-VX committing to soliciting sponsorship for Song Lam Nghe An Football Club for the 2026/2027 season. According to this document, the People's Committee of the province commits to raising a minimum of 45 billion VND to support SLNA's participation in the V.League 2026/2027. This is the necessary funding required for a team to qualify for the national championship as well as AFC club competitions.
The document signed and issued by Comrade Thai Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, on April 28th, marked a significant turning point.
Previously, the Nghe An team faced a significant risk of not being able to participate in the V.League 2026/2027 season due to the lack of a replacement sponsor, after the previous sponsor withdrew. The lack of financial resources prevented the club from fulfilling one of the mandatory criteria in the licensing system.
However, thanks to the timely intervention of the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and especially the swift decision from the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the financial problem has been solved. As a result, Song Lam Nghe An was able to complete the registration procedures before the deadline of April 30th, thereby officially qualifying to participate in the 2026/2027 season.
This is seen as a positive sign for the Nghe An team as the 2025/2026 season enters its final stages. Not only does it help stabilize the morale of the players and coaching staff, but this decision also lays the groundwork for the club to develop a plan for the new season.
For fans in Nghe An province, this news holds special significance, as Song Lam Nghe An is a symbol of local identity and pride. The team's continued participation in the V.League is something that many fans have been eagerly awaiting.
In the near future, along with completing the licensing process, Song Lam Nghe An will need to find a sponsor to quickly secure long-term financial stability. This will be a key factor for the team to aim for higher goals in the future.
