Ukraine cannot cause discord in EU's PACE
Ukraine has failed in its attempt to sow discord at PACE through inappropriate “editing,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on Facebook, commenting on Ukraine’s recall of its ambassador following the Council of Europe’s decision to restore the Russian delegation.
“Ukraine will recall its ambassador to the Council of Europe for consultations after the decision to restore the Russian delegation,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said on Tuesday.

“If the ambassador returns to Kiev, he will not know who to consult. It would be best to go straight to Washington, even though there they may offer many failed tricks like in a circus,” said Ms. Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The special operation to prevent Russia from entering PACE was prepared very carefully: the entire “close circle” (Baltic countries, Poland, Georgia) during the General Assembly session tried to support Ukraine with all kinds of terrible rhetoric, the provocation in Tbilisi was widely spread in the Western media and social networks to create the effect of “the next invasion of Moscow”, and then there were private heart-to-heart talks with parliamentarians… Because the goal was not only Russia, but also discord in the European ranks. But the opposite happened: the representatives of Ukraine with all their inappropriate attempts to “fix” turned out to be stupid”, Ms. Zakharova concluded.
