Ukraine sets conditions for ending conflict, Russia pushes back opponents in Kursk
President Zelensky said the conflict would end when Ukraine's territorial integrity was restored. Russia repelled several attacks by its opponents in the Kursk region.
According to Pravda, on August 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky clearly stated the conditions for ending the conflict that has lasted for more than 2 years.
"The conflict will only end if Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored and we guarantee that Russia will not repeat similar actions in the future," Zelensky said.
President Zelensky stressed that Kiev prioritizes ending the conflict through diplomatic means to minimize casualties among soldiers. However, if these measures do not work, the Ukrainian army is still ready to push back opponents on the front line.
In his comments, Mr. Zelensky also called on allies to allow Kiev to use long-range weapons to strike targets inside Russian territory.
"Partners need to convince the West to lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons. This is what can bring Ukraine closer to victory," Mr. Zelensky added.
