Ukraine attempts to use UAVs to attack Moscow's inner and outer areas.
Russian electronic warfare systems successfully thwarted Ukraine's attempt to attack targets in Moscow's city center and suburbs using drones. The Ukrainian drones were shot down and crashed in an uninhabited area, causing no casualties or damage, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.

"Today, the Kiev regime's latest attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using UAVs targeting targets in Moscow and its suburbs was thwarted," the statement said.
According to data from the Russian military, air defense forces on duty promptly detected the enemy drone. The UAV was suppressed by electronic warfare and, due to a loss of control, crashed into a deserted area near the settlement of Putikovo, in the Krasnogorsk district on the outskirts of Moscow.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that there were no casualties or damage in the area.
Military campaign in Donbass
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24th. President Putin called its objective "protecting those who have been oppressed and subjected to genocide by the Kiev regime for the past eight years." He noted that the special military operation was a necessary measure, that Russia "had no other choice; the security risks had reached a point where it was impossible to respond with other measures."
According to him, Russia has tried for 30 years to reach an agreement with NATO on security principles in Europe, but in response, Russia has faced either bitter deception and lies, or pressure and blackmail, while the alliance, despite Moscow's objections, has gradually expanded and approached the borders of the Russian Federation.
