Ukraine destroyed a 9T452 ammunition resupply vehicle belonging to the BM-27 Uragan system in the Luhansk province.
Ukraine's Lasar unit used heavy bomber drones to attack a cluster of Russian military equipment in the rear of Lugansk province, destroying a Uragan system ammunition resupply vehicle and a command vehicle.
The Lasar unit of the Ukrainian National Guard recently carried out a precision strike, destroying a cluster of Russian military equipment in the rear area of Lugansk province. Among the destroyed equipment, the most notable was the 9T452 transport and unloading vehicle belonging to the BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS).
Using heavy UAVs to attack enemy rear areas.
Based on analysis and reconnaissance from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Ukrainian forces detected a group of Russian military equipment concentrated approximately 30-40 km from the line of engagement. This area was strategically positioned to avoid the operational range of conventional kamikaze drones (FPVs).
Instead of using FPVs, Lasar unit soldiers deployed heavy bomber drones to attack the identified targets. According to the unit's statement, at the time of the attack, the 9T452 vehicle was fully loaded with ammunition, leading to secondary explosions that completely destroyed the vehicle. In addition, the attack also hit a command and staff vehicle and two other motorized vehicles parked at the location.

Technical specifications of the BM-27 Uragan system
The BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher system (GRAU designation 9P140) is one of the most powerful artillery weapons deployed in the Soviet army since 1975. It is a developed version of the BM-21 Grad system, designed to destroy large-scale targets such as troop concentrations, depots, and armored units.
Specifications and combat capabilities
The Uragan system utilizes a configuration of 16 220mm rocket launchers, mounted on a ZIL-135 8x8 off-road truck chassis. This system is capable of deploying various types of ammunition, from high-explosive fragmentation and thermobaric rounds to anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster munitions.
- Maximum range:35km.
- Firing time:You have 20 seconds to fire all 16 rounds.
- Refill time:15-20 minutes (requires assistance from vehicle 9T452).
- Damage area:Up to 4.3 hectares.
- Mobility:Switching from marching to combat mode takes approximately 3 minutes.
The destruction of the 9T452 transport and unloading vehicle is considered a significant blow to the logistical capabilities of the Uragan complex. Because each 220mm round is heavy, manual reloading is impossible, rendering the entire 9P140 launcher useless without the accompanying reloading vehicle. The high mobility of the 8x8 wheeled chassis allows the Uragan to quickly leave the battlefield after firing; however, being detected and attacked in the rear assembly area demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukraine's aerial reconnaissance.
