Ukrainian soldiers fighting in Russia's Kursk province have been ordered to hold out until the new US president is sworn in, the BBC has learned. About 40% of the Kursk territory initially seized by Ukrainian forces has been retaken by Russia. One soldier, named only as Vadim, said they were "having difficulty" holding their positions.
