Ukraine uses 200 tanks to attack Kursk
Special Forces Commander Akhmat said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed more than 200 tanks and more than 400 armored vehicles when attacking the Kursk region.

According to TASS news agency on September 20, Deputy Director of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, Commander of the Akhmat special forces, Major General Apty Alaudinov said that when starting the attack on the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed more than 200 tanks and more than 400 armored vehicles.
“The offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region was prepared as a blitzkrieg. At the time of the first attack, they had more than 200 tanks in the Kursk direction, and more than 400 armored vehicles. Huge resources were used to carry out the attack,” Major General Alaudinov said in the 60 Minutes program on the Russia-1 TV channel.
Due to the large amount of equipment destroyed, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forced to use the remaining “reserves” at the “most critical moment”, such as Leopard tanks, Major General Alaudinov added.
“What they could have prioritized from the beginning, they missed and lost the opportunity,” said Major General Alaudinov.
On September 19, TASS reported that the European Parliament (EP) called on member states to immediately lift restrictions on the use of weapons systems transferred to Ukraine to attack military targets on Russian territory. The EP said that such restrictions “impede Ukraine’s ability to fully exercise its right to self-defense.”
The EP resolution calls for increased arms transfers, including German Taurus long-range cruise missiles. Previously, the German Chancellor repeatedly refused to provide these weapons to Ukraine because of concerns about a serious escalation of the conflict.
In addition, the EP calls for the establishment of military production facilities in Ukraine, and further integration of the country's military-industrial complex into the EU defence and industrial base.
