Ukraine sends last reserve forces to the front
(Baonghean.vn) - Forbes Magazine observer said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have deployed their last strongest reserve unit to the front.

Ria Novosti quoted an analysis by Forbes magazine commentator David Axe saying that Ukraine has sent the 82nd Air Assault Brigade to the front. This is the last unit of Ukraine's strategic reserve.
“The Ukrainian Airborne Forces have finally deployed their strongest unit: the 82nd Brigade, consisting of 2,000 men, equipped with Marder and Stryker combat vehicles, and Challenger-2 tanks, to join the battle in the Rabotino area of the Zaporozhye region, in southern Ukraine,” said commentator David Axe in Forbes Magazine.
The 82nd and 46th brigades are the last major military units that the Ukrainian General Staff has kept in strategic reserve. Observer David Axe said that by sending the brigades into battle, Kiev could face significant losses. This move is both good and bad news for the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
“No brigade can fight forever. When the 46th and 82nd brigades withdraw for rest and repair, there may not be a new brigade of equal strength to replace them. If the Russian army can defend its position at Rabotino, and maintain sufficient strength after this Ukrainian surge, the Russian army may eventually strike back at Ukraine,” said observer David Axe.
Previously, on August 15, the latest report of the Russian Ministry of Defense said that in the Zaporizhye direction, Russian forces, supported by army aviation and artillery, repelled three attacks by the 82nd airborne brigade of the Ukrainian strategic reserve near Rabotino.
Ukrainian losses amounted to 200 servicemen, 5 tanks, 6 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 2 motor vehicles, and 2 Msta-B guns.
Meanwhile, in May 2023, the attack in Pavlograd destroyed fuel and ammunition depots of the 46th Ukrainian airborne brigade.
On the night of August 14, Russia launched a concentrated attack with long-range precision weapons from the air and sea against key enterprises of the Ukrainian military industry. All designated targets were neutralized, and significant damage was caused to the Ukrainian defense industry.
