The dream of going to school of an orphaned student in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - After her father passed away, her mother struggled to take care of her three siblings' education, so Thai Thi Ha Vy (7 years old), a student in class 2B at Son Hai Primary School (Quynh Luu), was afraid that one day if her mother could not take care of her, she would not have the opportunity to go to school with her friends.
Following a small road in village 4, coastal commune Son Hai (Quynh Luu), we found the house of Thai Thi Ha Vy (7 years old). As soon as we entered the house, we saw Tran Thi Oanh (31 years old, Ha Vy's mother) standing sadly, burning incense for her husband.
Oanh and her husband got married in 2011 and have three children. Both families are struggling, so the couple has to take care of everything themselves.

"The family's situation is pitiful. The husband passed away, the wife has no stable job, and the children are still young. The house they are living in is also dilapidated. There were several times when it rained heavily, and Ms. Oanh was busy selling cakes. Luckily, a neighbor came over to help her put away her things. Otherwise, her husband's altar would have been soaked," said Ms. Tran Thi Nhan, a neighbor.

Thai Thi Ha Vy studies very hard despite her family's difficult circumstances. |
Since her husband passed away, her children are still young, so to earn money to support the family, Ms. Oanh has to work hard every day to wake up early to wrap cakes and sell them. Every day, she earns 70 to 80 thousand VND to buy food for the whole family.
As for Thai Thi Ha Vy, although still young, she is aware of her situation, so after school she helps her mother take care of her younger siblings and do chores around the house. “There are three children in the family, the youngest one has not yet gone to school, and the two older ones are in lower grades, so the tuition fees are still low. I can still take care of them now, but when they grow up, I don’t know if I can afford to take care of them so they can continue going to school,” Oanh said, sobbing.
