The Nghe An Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee held its 10th Standing Committee Meeting.
On the afternoon of January 12th, at Yen Trach parish, Cua Lo ward, the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province held its 10th Standing Committee meeting for the 2022-2027 term.
The conference aimed to implement the work plan for 2026 and discuss several issues related to organization and assignment of tasks in the coming period.
The conference was chaired by Father Joseph Phan Van Thang – Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province, along with Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh – Standing Vice Chairman of the Committee. Attending the conference were members of the Standing Committee and representatives of local leaders.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee presented the Decision recognizing Father Joseph Phan Van Thang as the Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee for the 2022-2027 term. This decision reflects the trust of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee in the role and responsibilities of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee in this new phase.

The delegates listened to and discussed the draft Decision assigning the Standing Committee and members of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province to be responsible for specific areas and localities. The discussions were conducted in a democratic, responsible, and highly unified spirit, aiming to improve coordination and task implementation at the grassroots level.

On this occasion, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cua Lo Ward extended their congratulations to the Nghe An Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee and to Father Joseph Phan Van Thang personally on receiving the recognition decision from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee.

The 10th Standing Committee Meeting was assessed as an important preparatory step, contributing to the consolidation of the organization and improvement of the effectiveness of the Nghe An Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, further promoting the role of Catholic compatriots in building national unity and developing the local economy and society.
