Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visits and congratulates pagodas on Buddha's Birthday

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 11, Mr. Vo Van Tien - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province led a delegation of the Fatherland Front Committee of the province to visit and congratulate pagodas in Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh towns on the occasion of Buddha's birthday, Buddhist calendar 2560 - Gregorian calendar 2016.

At the places visited, the delegation respectfully presented flower baskets and inquired about the health of the abbots of the pagodas as well as the monks and nuns. The delegation highly appreciated the contributions of the Provincial Buddhist Executive Committee as well as the Buddhists of the districts in mobilizing monks and nuns and Buddhists to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

The working delegation hopes that in the coming time, the Venerable Abbots of the pagodas, together with the locality, will continue to encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to coordinate with departments and branches to effectively carry out the state management of religion, integrate Buddhist activities into the emulation movements for socio-economic development in the area, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc; strengthen activities to improve the understanding and awareness of law compliance of religious followers; effectively carry out propaganda and mobilization work to raise awareness, sense of responsibility, and exercise citizenship rights for the country in the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

Buddhist dignitaries at the pagodas visited and congratulated by the delegation expressed their gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in the past time, promising to continue promoting the tradition of living a good life and following the religion of Buddhists. At the same time, they hoped to continue receiving more attention so that Nghe An Buddhism could continue to accompany the nation.
