Collision between a car and an ox-drawn cart leaves one person hospitalized.
(Baonghean.vn) - A traffic accident occurred in Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong district), resulting in severe damage to two vehicles, and the driver of the ox cart was injured and is currently being taken to the hospital.
According to witnesses, at 5:45 AM on March 15th, a car with license plate 37D-020.XX was traveling on Ho Chi Minh Highway through Hamlet 5, Hanh Lam Commune, in the direction of Hanh Lam - Thanh Duc. Approximately 300 meters from the turnoff to Prison No. 6, it collided with an ox-drawn cart traveling in the same direction.
The powerful collision caused the cart and the buffalo to fall into the ditch. The buffalo lay motionless with a broken leg and horn. The buffalo-drawn cart had a broken shaft and a damaged cart.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dan (68 years old), residing in Hamlet 5, Hanh Lam Commune, was thrown from his ox cart and crashed into a car, sustaining serious injuries. He is currently being transported to Nghe An Friendship General Hospital by local residents.
The car was severely damaged at the front, with many parts broken and scattered on the road, and the driver suffered minor scrapes on his hands.
Immediately after the accident, authorities arrived at the scene to handle the situation.
Reportedly, this morning, Mr. Dan drove his ox cart to the field to transport corn. Local people are in the middle of the corn harvest season in the Giang River basin.
