Valve is gearing up to launch the Steam Frame virtual reality headset after a series of system updates.
Valve has just added the Welcome Tour interface and game classification filters for the Steam Frame VR headset to the Steam database, signaling an imminent release date.
Valve is actively preparing for its next step in the virtual reality (VR) field with a device called Steam Frame. The latest data from Steam's backend suggests that the official launch of this VR headset is imminent.

The launch signal comes from internal software updates.
According to industry expert Brad Lynch, Valve has quietly integrated the "Steam Frame Welcome Tour" feature into the Steam backend. This interface guides new users in setting up and familiarizing themselves with device controls. Notably, the entire tutorial has been translated and localized into all supported languages.
In addition, Valve has also implemented a compatibility search filter specifically for the new device. Users can categorize and browse games based on their actual performance on the Steam Frame VR headset.
Apply the same compatibility assessment standards as Steam Deck.
To optimize the user experience, Valve has introduced a compatibility rating system with four levels: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, and Unknown. This rating standard is similar to the system successfully implemented on the Steam Deck handheld gaming console.
The simultaneous appearance of user support tools and software testing systems shows that the Steam Frame's operational framework is essentially complete on the Steam platform.
The supply chain is ready for launch.
In addition to software adjustments, recent shipping data shows Valve has been receiving numerous shipments related to Steam Frames over the past few weeks. Although the manufacturer has yet to announce the price or official release date, the seamless coordination between software infrastructure and logistics suggests that a product announcement will be made soon.
