7,500 test kits were illegally transported across the border.
On the morning of March 2nd, Duong Thi Nhan and a group of people hired to transport 15 boxes containing 7,500 Covid-19 test kits across the border were discovered by border guards.
At 3:30 AM, a task force from Tan Thanh Border Guard Station, along with the Lang Son Provincial Border Guard, spotted a group of people transporting goods in the area of marker 1092, in Tan Thanh commune, Van Lang district. Their suspicious behavior prompted the officers to stop for inspection.
Taking advantage of the darkness and rugged terrain, the group abandoned 15 boxes of goods and fled into the forest. Border guards pursued them and apprehended Duong Thi Nhan (36 years old, residing in Bac Son district, Lang Son province).

Upon inspection, the 15 boxes contained 7,500 Covid-19 rapid test kits, with an estimated value of 300 million VND.
Nhan confessed to transporting goods for a man named Thi (whose specific address is unknown) for a fee of 300,000 VND per box.
The Border Guard of Lang Son province is continuing its investigation.
