Nearly 800 million VND was raised to support families of Agent Orange/dioxin victims.

Attending the congress were comrades: Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet - Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Vinh City Fatherland Front Committee; and Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee.

During the past term, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vinh City has actively reformed its activities and methods, attracting and gathering members to participate in its activities. To date, the Association has 1,199 members.

During the 2018-2023 term, the Association also advised Party committees and authorities, and coordinated with the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to promote and mobilize agencies, businesses, and philanthropists to donate nearly 800 million VND.

From that money, the Association has supported and assisted 25 families in building new houses and repairing existing ones, supported many member families in developing production and business, provided medical assistance, and awarded scholarships to children and grandchildren of victims with particularly difficult circumstances to help them excel in their studies.

In addition, the Association always focuses on propaganda work, participating in and supporting lawsuits fighting for justice, and fulfilling its function of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of victims.

The congress elected 27 comrades to the new Executive Committee. Also at the congress, the Provincial Association for the Protection of Children's Rights and Support of People with Disabilities donated 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND in cash and gifts worth 250,000 VND; Hong Loan Garment Company donated 20 gifts, each worth 300,000 VND.
