Van Dung shared about a midnight meal with her son, Long Vu.
Vân Dung was busy rehearsing for Táo Quân (a popular Vietnamese New Year's Eve comedy show) while Long Vũ was busy rehearsing for another Táo Quân program. The mother and son went their separate ways and only met at midnight.
- As the year draws to a close, you and your son Long Vũ are very busy with various projects. What's special about your lives during this time?
In the last days of the year, Long Vũ and I, mother and son, went our separate ways. Mom went to practice.Kitchen GodThe child went to practice.Apple Arena of Valor.My mother works on Lunar New Year programs, and I'm busy filming. Only at night do we have time to eat dinner together and chat happily. It's tiring, but so much fun!
- Long Vũ made it into the Top 3 Most Impressive Male Actors at the VTV Awards alongside Duy Hưng and Quang Sự. You must be very happy that your son has been recognized?
When they learned that Long Vũ had made it into the top 3.Impressive male actorAlongside outstanding names like Duy Hung and Quang Su, I am very happy and proud. For me, this is a valuable recognition of my son's efforts and passion.
However, the most important thing I wish for is that Long Vũ will always be loved and supported by the audience. Regarding further progress, I believe that as long as he maintains his learning spirit, works seriously, and dedicates himself wholeheartedly, he will achieve his dreams.
- What aspects of Long Vu currently reassure or worry you the most?
My biggest relief is that my child is very passionate and responsible about their work. They are eager to learn and constantly innovate. But I'm also worried because, despite their "cool" appearance, they are very easily hurt and sensitive.
- You once shared that your criteria for choosing a daughter-in-law are obedience and filial piety. How are Long Vũ's criteria similar to and different from yours, Vân Dung?
For me, all I need is a daughter-in-law who is well-behaved and filial. Long Vu feels the same way! But the most important thing is that they both love and cherish each other.
- 2025 is just around the corner, how does your family plan to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year)?
This year I'll buy a really big peach blossom branch, and my daughter will buy a really small kumquat tree. Together, we'll prepare a delicious New Year's Eve feast with a really fat chicken to offer to our ancestors and the heavens. The house will be beautifully decorated to welcome the New Year. Just thinking about it makes me excited.
- What is your and Long Vũ's favorite dish during Tet?
The dish that Long Vu and I love most is sweet sticky rice cake (banh chung). Not only do my mother and I love it, but my grandparents also really enjoy it. Sweet sticky rice cake is an indispensable dish on our family's feast table every Tet (Lunar New Year). It's so delicious!
- Among the cast of Táo Quân, who is your biggest fan and why?
Among the cast of Táo Quân (the annual Lunar New Year comedy show), I can't say who I admire most because each person has their own unique charm and is an indispensable part of the Táo Quân family. For over 20 years, we've been colleagues, friends, and family, always sharing and supporting each other through joys and sorrows. That bond is what I cherish most and is the strength that drives us to give our all every Táo Quân season.
