Operation and regulation of Chau Thang hydropower reservoir
At 6:20 p.m. this afternoon, July 19, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province issued an urgent announcement on the operation and regulation of Chau Thang hydropower reservoir.
Notice No. 103 stated: At 6:20 p.m. this afternoon, July 19, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 02/TB-PQP dated July 19, 2024 from PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company on the operation and regulation of water at Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Chau Thang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir procedure and inter-reservoir procedure on the Ca river basin, PRIME Que Phong Joint Stock Company announces the expected water regulation operation plan of Chau Thang hydropower reservoir as follows:
Estimated discharge time:00:00 on July 20, 2024.
Discharge flow:Total discharge from 76m3/s 300m3/s (including discharge flow through the valve gate and power generation flow through the generators) and may vary depending on the level of water flow to the lake.
Discharge end time:Until the effects of the heavy rains subside.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: People's Committees of Que Phong and Quy Chau districts; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention of Ban Mong Reservoir.
It is recommended to notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Chau Thang Hydropower Plant to know and deploy necessary work to ensure the safety of life and property of the State and people.
